Urgent Care

If you’re not sure what to do or where to go, Healthline (0800 611 116) can provide advice 24/7. Take me to the healthline page!

24 Hour Surgery is open 24/7 again!

From time to time, we may need to temporarily redirect some non-urgent patients if presentation numbers are very high. Always check our Facebook for the most up-to-date information.

For emergencies, always call 111 or go to Christchurch Hospital Emergency Department.

What will it cost?

All Urgent Care facilities will incur a cost depending on the type of consult.

Children under the age of 14 are free after hours.

Need a Medical Certificate after hours?

If you’re too sick to work or study and need to stay at home and rest, Pocket Lab can provide you with a medical certificate, sent directly to your email.

This is a great away to avoid a trip to an after hours clinic.

Virtual Consultations

Virtual consultations are a great way to see a clinician the same day without having to visit an urgent care/after hours clinic, when your general practice team is busy or closed.
